FAQs

What does cashless mean? / How does my cashless wristband work?

You will load money onto your cashless wristband with Cash or Credit/Debit Card before or during the festival. Your wristband will then act as your currency for all purchases onsite at the festival. Please remember to wear your cashless wristband on the opposite wrist of your festival wristband.

All festival POS stations will also accept all major Credit/Debit Cards as a form of payment, for those who wish to not use their cashless wristband.

What currency is the festival?

The festival will be in MXN (Pesos). You will be charged in MXN (Pesos) at the current exchange rate when loading money to your cashless wristband or using any Credit/Debit Card at any POS.

How do I load my cashless wristband?

You will visit a Cashless HQ as early as Thursday and/or any day of the festival to load funds to your cashless wristband. Your first visit to a Cashless HQ you will be required to register, a valid Government issued ID is required to register.

Upon registering, you will exchange Cash or charge your Credit/Debit Card to add funds to your cashless wristband. You will be charged in MXN at the current exchange rate.

There is a limit of $10,000 MXN charge when loading your wristband. If you load more than $5,000 MXN you will be required to fill out a credit card authorization form as well.

With that, you are all set to go!

To add more funds during the festival, you will simply visit a Cashless location and once again exchange Cash or charge your Credit/Debit Card.

How can I check my cashless balance?

During the festival, it is possible to check the balance of your cashless wristband at any Cashless HQ Cashier, mobile cashiers and/or points of sale.

Can more cashless credit be added during the festival?

Yes, to add more cashless credits during Baja Beach Fest you will want to visit one of the Cashless locations and/or mobile cashiers. The purchase can be made by credit/debit card and/or cash.

Is cash going to be accepted at the festival?

Baja Beach Fest will be 100% Cashless, including the Official Pre-Party on Thursday and all Afterparties. All purchases at the festival will be made exclusively through the cashless wristband or via Credit/Debit Cards.

Is setting up my Cashless Wristband mandatory?

No, but recommended. Cashless wristbands or Credit/Debit Cards will be the currency options at Baja Beach Fest this year.

Does the Cashless wristband have any cost?

No, activating or using a cashless wristband does not have any cost. In the event your cashless wristband gets lost, you must go to one of the Cashless HQ Cashiers and request a new one. For this replacement and re-activation, a fee in the amount of $20,00 mxn / approximately $1.10 USD will be charged, which will be automatically deducted from the remaining balance of your cashless wristband.

Can I charge the same credit/debit card to more than one wristband?

No, the name on your Credit/Debit card must be in your name.

What if I lose my wristband?

Visit one of our Cashless HQ locations onsite and inform them of your lost wristband. They can assist you with a replacement and re-activation.

For this replacement and re-activation, a fee in the amount of $20,00 mxn / approximately $1.10 USD will be charged, which will be automatically deducted from the remaining balance of your cashless wristband.

Will the remaining balance be refunded?

Yes, you must visit the Cashless Refunds locations on Monday, August 13th or Tuesday, August 14th to receive your refund. Please note, you will be receiving cash in MXN (Pesos). There is no fee when receiving your refund, you will receive your entire remaining balance.

To receive your refund, you must bring and show a Government issued ID.
