Daddy Yankee
Ramon Luis Ayala Rodriguez, better known as Daddy Yankee or the KING OF REGGAETON, is a respected and acclaimed artistic giant, and a true pioneer of Reggaeton.
The brilliant rapper, singer, and songwriter is from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Yankee was born February 3rd, 1976 (Aquarius). A few of his many hits include “Dura”, “Lo Que Paso, Paso”, “Con Calma”, “Limbo”, “MÉTELE AL PERREO”, and “Rompe”.
Ayala was originally going to become a professional baseball player until he was shot in the leg while taking a break from a studio recording session. It was then that his entire life changed. He was on his way to making rhythms and perreo anthems that would transcend all language barriers.
Yankee has won twenty-eight Billboard Latin Music Awards, among dozens of others, broken records across 3 decades, and it is an honor to finally have this legend hit our stage at Baja Beach Fest.
